Sebastien Baribeau
Partner + Producer
Seb has been working in the film industry for over 20 years. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, with a major in Finance. More interestingly, he moved to the alps in his early twenties to mountain guide, ride horses through the forest at night and sleep under the stars. In 2014, Sebastien co-founded a successful production company in Montreal, Sailor Productions Inc (sailorproductions.com). In 2019 he created a boutique adventure/ski film company with his partner, STRIVE Films Inc. Seb is currently Head of Physical Production for ReachStar Entertainment (reachstar.ca).
Seb is a recognized logistics expert and consistently determines cost effect measures. His ability to create a team, bring them together and work selflessly is demonstrated in multiple successful projects. He fosters important relationships with key players around the world.
His principal contacts, varied resources and significant experience makes him a desired candidate for any complex, foreign and/or highly technological project (aerial, ground and underwater) anywhere on earth and beyond.
Seb has managed and produced conventional, VR and Immersive productions for numerous international clients such as Fly over America, EDC, IMAX, Microsoft, Google, Apple, Chubb, Coca Cola, Xbox, Facebook, Oculus, Cirque du Soleil, NASA, and The White House, to name a few.
Integrity, fairness, high attention to detail with a consistent focus on solutions to maximize budget, is all a part of Seb’s process. His work has brought him to shoot seemingly impossible large scale productions around the world, from the south Pacific to the Arctic, from South America to China, to New Zealand.
Melanie Barber Baribeau
Partner + Special Projects Manager
Mel is an artist and truth seeker. She has been bouncing from project to project in the film industry for over 10 years, while juggling personal interests of expression and the life of a mother. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a major in Theatre and a Bachelor of Education, with a major in Technology and Critical Thinking. More interestingly, she sees life through song, art, poetry and conversations with strangers. She loves the raw energy of the Theatre and the true artistry of Cinema.
Mel is an avid collaborator previously working for Sailor Productions Inc., Whistler Blackcomb, Red Bull and the YMCA. She is a Writer, Musician, certified School Teacher, Yoga Instructor and a loving Mama.
Her experiences have provided her with vast opportunities demonstrating successful multi-tasking, priority focused and detail oriented work, both independently and within a team. Mel's professional and outgoing nature allows her to connect with varied personalities and encourages honest, respectful working relationships.
Mel has worked on multiple projects including productions with Cirque du Soleil, NASA, Fly over America, Export Development Canada, Lacroix Boards and Chien Blanc.
